Börje Salming

Börje Salming is our biggest hockey hero, tragically he passed away just recently. The Viaplay Chanel made a drama serie this spring about his tremendous succes as a sportsman. Börje grew up in the north parts of Sweden, and his career began in the 1970´s. It was quit difficult for Locationfinder.se to find locations that were intact from that time. One of these timeless locations is this church in Gävle where Börje played for the team Brynäs.

The kings two faces

For the Viaplay Chanel my scouting company in Sweden: Locationfinder.se was asigned to find a sutiable location for the tv-show Kungens två ansikten. (In english: The Kings two faces). It´s a documentary about the swedish king´s life and acts during his 50 years as a souverign i Sweden. The castle on the picture is Gripsholm Castle in Mariefred, an ancient castle that derives from as early as the 1400th century.

Limbo for Viaplay

For the Viaplay Chanel Locationfinder.se got an asignment that was to find a huge apartment for one of the main charcters in the drama Limbo. The story is about three friends with three sons that know eachother, and then suddenly an accident occurs and one of the sons is blamed to have casued the accident, with lethal results.

The program Stugdrömmar (Dream of the perfect summerhouse) will be launched tomorrow in the swedish chanel 5. Locationfinder scouted severel of the locations that appear in the show. The house on the picture did not qualify how ever.

Fashion shoot

This giant train construction hall is just made for fashion shoots. The hall is built some hundred years ago, and it consist of 9000 sqm. The train industry was situated in the middle of the country to postpone the russians troups to get to the heart of the infrastructure of Sweden. Also, the swedish king had a entire team working only at his wagons. Train was obvious the vehicle to travel on then.

The six Bullerbyn children

A typical and traditional small village in Sweden from the 19th century. This location is situated in a sort of museum-area in the town called Örebro, some 2 hours from Stockholm. Both film and still shoots should be possible here, if it is not tourist season, or with short notice.

For a swedish tv show Locationfinder had to travel around all small towns around Stockholm, in order to find really industrial chic locations, that are hard to find in our gentrified capitol, such as this one.

For a famous swedish bed-brand Locationfinder looked for a light, white house with a lot of air and space. This house located near water is ideally for this kind of shoot, especially as the house owner is photographer, makes it a whole lot easier. The strange modules outside the window is the protection for the pool

Swedish grace

A typical swedish kitchen with chaires that origins from the 50-60´s, and with thick woodden walls around. The builing itself is an old farmers lodge, that has been modernized. In Stockholm area wood is often used, while more south, and perticular in Denmark, stone, concrete and also reed is more commonly used, especially for the roofs.

If you´d like to shoot scenes from a typical and tradtional swedish house, you should do it here. This house is situated in Stockholm, but looks really like it is from another area and world. The house is from the 1900th century, and here use to live a famous artist.

Highway Star

This highway is amazing. It is privatley owned. So we can work here as in a studio. There are no cars, no traffic, and we can put road marks as we wish. We just rent them from the company not far from the location. Finally I have found the ideal location for car commercials, no danger working here, and no permission is needed, we only need to pay the owner ;-)

The super apartment

This apartment has this danish style and interior, it is situated in Skåne, Helsingborg to be precise. The owner is within the film business, so it´s easy to film here. I expect the german car commercial to start soon. Then it will come in use!

The coolness

This house is one of the fanciest in Stockholm, it will perhaps star in a film that I am scuting for right now in Stockholm, Sweden. The home is for a very fancy and rich family in the movie.

Another luxury house

This house was also on the list when scouting in the Stockholm area for designed houses for the popular tv serie. It has a impressiv front in glass, and during summer, it is warm with the sun shining in. The sun... as all scandinavians dream and long for. (If you see a person in march-april standing seemingly passive aiming his face towards the sun, he is most likely a swede, consuming light and energy.)

TV series

The begining of the new year has been lucrative. The famous swedish tv series called The Sunny side has given me an asignemnt to find a cool modern luxery villa, and during the scouting one finds really beutiful houses. This one certainly suits the brief. The owner is very interested in cars, and that is why there is a vintage Alfa Romeo outside the window. Also there is a magnificent view in the background and along with the typical minimalistic scandinavian furniture, makes this house perfect to film and shoot in.

Film against discrimination

The Discrimination Board makes information films that take place in various workplaces, such as retirement homes, factories etc. The purpose of the film is to draw attention to tricky situations where internships (schoolchildren) can be subjected to abusive treatment by employers. Locationfinder has arranged all locations for the films.

The clothing company Pierre Robert made a fashion film this fall. Then Locationfinder.se arranged all locations. Among other things, a shop on Ekerö and a train station on Lidingö. The popular TV series Solsidan is looking for a new house for one of its main characters! The person should move into their parental home, and I then came to think of this suitable environment, with the associated scotch-checkered 70's carpet, where you can almost see the drinks being served in front of them, with the Dean Martin background.

Mc Donald´s film

Ronald Mc Donald made a commercial in Stockholm where Locationfinder.se was the location manager. We shot at Kungsholmen's high school, which was converted into a hospital corridor, an ordinary afternoon. Tricky parking situations, as well as opinions from the teachers emerged. But everyone was happy in the end. Especially the customer!

Mummy´s house

For two days we have shoot an information film in mother's house in Saltsjöbaden, Sweden. The weather has been awful, windy and rainy. Mom saw me waking up at 5 in the morning, carrying various things, and in summary, she thought I had a terrible job, haha. But then during daytime comes the sun and then it's beautiful again! The film is to be displayed at police and social offices around Sweden, where staff can get guidance and assistance from the various stories in order to be able to read tricky situations.

A famous swedish clothing brand wanted a very specific location for a fashion shot; a door! So we went to old town which is more or less situated in the very center of Stockholm. We took several shots of different cool and old looking doors. It is so beutiful in the old town. I have lived there for a year or so, and I never get tired of the timeless atmosphere in the heaart of Stockholm. Also perfect for making fashion shoots and commercial films!

BMW wanted cool Stockholm locations, that could suit the car brand. So locationfinder.se took a massive amount of pictures around Stockholm, and this is one. Where we actually shot the car later is a secret, such as a lot regarding car commercials!

I found this amazing environment from the 20th century, so when my mother was born, people were working in this environment! Feels so unbelievable long ago. The machines are certainly both dangerous and not perticulary healthy. But beautiful are they, the machines from the 20's. Here you can make nice fashion shots.

This pool location belongs to a huge villa outside Stockholm. It was just a regular scouting day, and this kind of locations are what we see everyday, if we are lucky. This location is perfect when we´ll shoot an outdoor summer party with hundreds of guests/extras.
